Exhibiting at Art Unequalled in Ely
I shall be exhibiting at Art Unequalled this weekend and it is the first of my Christmas events. I called this painting “The Snowman”.
Sea Breeze
Here’s the completed painting of “Sea Breeze”. Sea breeze is based on memories of Porthleven in Cornwall, where I went as a child with my family and more recently to visit friends.
Finishing the painting of Sea Breeze
It has taken me quite a long time to finish this painting but I am now happy with the result. To give it depth of colour I use many layers of paint to build up shadows and movement.
Dancing in Honfleur, France

I enjoy demonstrating on my stand, it always gives me something to talk about but I try to plan the painting in advance so that I know what I am doing. This year I thought I would paint a romantic window harbour view of Porthleven in Cornwall.

A Decoupaged giclee print
Decoupage is an interesting way to add a craft element to my work. I have different gift wraps made of my designs and enjoy tailor making the frames to fit the designs. This particular piece will also be on show at the “Autumn tales” exhibition at Obsidian Art gallery.
