I love the seaside working harbour town of Porthleven in Cornwall and it is one that I have painted many times. Here is another view, which is atmospheric and full of swirling skies and waves in the sea. Sometimes it can be so wild with rough choppy waters and I have tried to convey this with expressive movement in paint strokes. I have painted it from memory rather than use photographic reference so that it has a naive quality rather than being realistic.
