This painting began in a demonstration for Matlock Art Society. They asked me to demonstrate gouache painting and movement in the landscape which is partly influenced by dance and movement. There is a still life and in contrast a person is walking with a dog. The boats are bobbing in the water and a sailing boat is blown by the wind. Above all I wanted show flow within the composition.
