The ultramarine blues and turquoises of the Cornish Sea are in contrast to the soft sandy colours of the Sandpiper. I have popped a sandpiper in the foreground to complement the colours of the driftwood and shells which I found on the beach. This is a nostalgic painting to express my fond memories of holidays in Cornwall.
