This painting began at the RHS Spring Garden show in Malvern and I finished it at Hever Castle and gardens in Kent. It’s a nostalgic painting and partly inspired by a visit to Falmouth. It isn’t an accurate painting and the table, vase, chairs and bunting were added to give the painting a holiday feel.
