When I found a lovely vintage trug in a little shop, I thought it would make a very good prop for a still life. Then I filled it with flowers from the garden. Here it is in this painting with shells that I have brought back from the seaside. I have made the tablecloth a deep blue to reflect the blue colour of the sea.
