This commissioned piece of work was created in between exhibiting at events and painting my own paintings. I enjoy the challenge of creating a painting for someone else and I always try to communicate and listen to the brief. This painting has multiple perspectives, overlooking the scene and straight ahead. The boats are larger than they would be in real life and the tower is dominant, a focal point of the painting. I want the viewer to begin at the tower then follow the water out across the painting to the far right hand corner.
