I have been developing this painting overlooking Mousehole Harbour in Cornwall and the hot weather is helping me to recreate the atmosphere! Hot pinks and oranges next to the blue cool calm of the sea. While walking down to the harbour I discovered a beautiful garden terrace allotment overlooking the bay. The composition is expressive and I have exaggerated the rectangular shapes of the flowerbeds for dramatic effect. Also the plants in the foreground are pointing in quirky directions to lead your eye into the composition and direct you towards to coast.
